Branding Photoshoot

Branding shoots are important to elevate your profile within professional networks. If you are in the Professional Services industy, people will look to your photos, logo, branding and marketing to determine if you are worth the price that you have quoted.

Professional photos literally allow you to charge more. Look more elevated. Looking more professional opens the door for more opportunities as well.

My personal opinion is that having a Branding Photoshoot takes time, and to get the best images - it takes a little time in front of the camera to get the best shot. Just turning up, to take one photo and leave - means that you are missing different emotive variations that you could add to your professional catalogue.

My advice, if you have the time, bring 3 outfits that can provide you with different variations. Some look more professional, some look more fun, and depending on your skin tone and your backdrop, some different colours could really pop for you!

Also - finding a photoshoot location where you have a closely accessible bathroom and food is also fun. It can be a little tiring smiling for an hour or two.

I like to vary from big smiles, to stern looks and to "what made you think you can talk to me" look. Varying emotions will keep it fun, but also give you a wide range of images to work with later.

Maybe in this stage of your career you'd like to look more friendly and approachable (depending on the business style/type), or you'd like to look like you'd eat them for breakfast. It varies, it's fun, it gets you exactly the message you're looking to give out.

I studied at the University of Newcastle, in Business and Entrepreneurship and Innovation majoing in Marketing and Leadership - I can help you style the photos that you'd like, depending on your industry and business style.

I'll shoot from below slightly, if you're hoping to look more intimidaiting, or from a slight angle, straight on if you're a friendly business that are looking to get inquiries.

And if you are more of a content-creator style business, lots of pointing to the wall next to your, and wall above you, so that you can edit text boxes in. Think like (have you tried X recently?)

Leaning forward, is body language for - I'm interested in what you have to say. Sitting up straight ( a bit like the below image) says more that I'm listening to you, but I also might disagree with you as well. Body language in a photoshoot translates through the image to your viewers - and that's why it's important to have a grasp on the style of business you are, and how you'd like to be percieved to clients. Friendly Vs Why are you trying to talk to me??

Your marketing matters, your brand matters, your advertising matters - and your photos are there to support you every step of the way!

I'd love to photograph your next Branding Photoshoot!
